Hon. Joseph Frimpong Facilitates Donation of Vital Drugs to Kwahu West Health Directorate
In a significant boost to healthcare delivery in the Kwahu West Municipality, Hon. Joseph Frimpong, Member of Parliament for Nkawkaw, has facilitated the donation of vital drugs and medical supplies to the Kwahu West Health Directorate.
The initiative, made possible through the collaboration of Direct Care International — a United States–based non-governmental organization — and Peace & Love Hospital in Kumasi, aims to improve access to essential medicines and strengthen the treatment of patients across the municipality.
At a brief presentation ceremony held this morning at the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Hon. Joseph Frimpong formally handed over the items to representatives of the Health Directorate. The MP expressed his profound appreciation to the donors for their generosity, describing the gesture as a remarkable contribution to meeting the health needs of the municipality.
“This is a significant step toward saving lives and easing the suffering of our people. I urge the Health Directorate to ensure that these medicines are used solely for treating patients and not for sale,” Hon. Frimpong emphasized.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Municipal Health Director, Madam Celestina Asante, was Madam Catharine Tossah, a Physician Assistant at the Kwahu West Municipal Market Square Clinic, alongside Mr. Ernest, the Human Resource Officer.
Madam Tossah conveyed her gratitude to Direct Care International and Peace & Love Hospital, describing the donation as a timely intervention that will go a long way toward enhancing patient care. She assured that the medicines would be distributed responsibly to benefit the entire community.
