Member of Parliament for Mpraeso constituency, Hon Davis Opoku Ansah together with constituency executives and the MCE, Hon. Emmanuel Atta Ofori have donated some amount of money to Kwahu Ridge Senior High Technical School after girls’ dormitory fire outbreak.
Hon. Davis Opoku Ansah donated GH¢20,000 to the school authorities for their immediate needs like beds, mattresses among others after fire outbreak at the girls dormitory of the school early yesterday morning.
In addition, the MCE, Hon Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr. also presented GH¢5,000 on behalf of the Assembly to the school.
In a post sighted by NKPROMO.NET, the Member of Parliament stated he immediately left parliament to attend to the situation after the MCE prompted him about the tragic situation.
“Today, I got a call from my MCE about an unfortunate fire outbreak incident at the Girls Dormitory of the Kwahu Ridge Senior High Tech School. I had to move from Parliament to join him hurriedly and other stakeholders to inspect the extent of damage and ways we could quickly fix a temporary place for these students, many of which are in their final year. I gave a cheque of twenty Thousand cedis (GH¢ 20,000.00) to the management and PTA of the school to purchase some beds.” – Hon Davis Opoku Ansah.
He added he has made follow up calls appealing for assistance from concerned ministries and sounded a reach call to old students of KRISTECH to come to the aid of the school.
“I have also placed several calls to the Ministry of Education and Interior to assist in these trying moments and am happy at the response….I am appealing to old students and other philanthropists to come to our aid.”
